Fantastic post by Vlad Savov on some of the problems with Samsung and their latest smartphone release. I was really surprised by the Galaxy S III… I had come to expect more from Samsung. The quote below is from the linked post.
“From fridges to cameras to TVs, people buy Samsung gear not because they love or trust it, but because its spec sheet ticks the right boxes. The brand is synonymous with ubiquity, but not quality.”
This would be awesome. I would not be surprised if Apple implements something like this in iOS 6.
I hate when Apple does stuff like this. I like what one of the commenters said…
“We have a raft of rejections over patently silly hypotheticals. Meanwhile, there was never any chance that existing companies like Amazon were going to give Apple a slice of their revenue stream just because they wanted an app on a phone. So this is a bad policy and Apple should be blasted for it, because it’s a stupid policy, not because it’s an evil policy.”
Nice review as always from The Verge. The video stuff these guys do is really great.
A great new WordPress security plugin. I deployed this on many of the sites I manage. (via)
“I wonder if people realize that if APIs are not copyrightable, then GPL is unenforceable.”
Yet another great way to browse Dribbble. People are really doing some cool stuff with the Dribbble API.
Great video by Paul Miller on The Verge. I’m also in love with the SimpleNote / Notational Velocity combination for taking notes. It really feels great. I know that Gruber also uses both of these apps.

My dad just recently started building another spec home. Panorama taken with AutoStich for iPhone.

Really good news for us Mac users.
“Currently, it appears that the number of infected computers has tapered off, but remains around the 140,000 mark.”
That is really amazing! Just one week ago, the number of infected computers was 600,000. (via)
It’s about time someone takes them off the NBA’s hands. Now if Mr. Benson would just use the rest of his 1.1 billion dollars to give Drew Brees the deal he wants.
Speaking of a lot of downloads… This is a really good app. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it. I just wish the NFL would do something like it.
I absolutely love this app. It’s by far the best drawing app for the iPad. The best part about it is that it makes you feel like a better artist than you actually are. Congrats to the guys over at 53. I look forward forward to more from them.
This is such a great idea! If I had the leather smart cover, I would totally do this to it. (via)
“$200 per post, 411 posts last quarter. That’s over $80,000 dollars of revenue from their job postings board alone. It’s great to see a relatively new startup with a sustainable business model doing this well.”
Congrats to Dan and the crew over at Dribbble! Thanks for building such a great community.
